Charles Parks
Chief Executive Officer
A Salisbury native, Charles came from humble beginnings as one of six children born to a police officer. His upbringing shaped his work ethic and determination to succeed and experience life to the fullest. It’s also this drive and passion that keeps him working diligently to help his clients achieve their goals, allowing them to live brilliantly.
Prior to establishing C F Parks, Charles began his career in finance as a registered representative for a regional brokerage firm in 1982. He always knew, however, that he wanted to start his own firm. In 1985 he founded C F Parks and has grown it to a thriving firm and has received national recognition for his achievements and experience in investment management and finance.
When he’s not working in the office you’ll probably find him working on his golf game (he’s had two holes-in-ones but would love to add a third!). Charles and his wife Lynne have traveled extensively and enjoy exploring new cities and countries. An avid sports fan, he also cheers on his Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Hornets as much as possible.
Anyone who knows Charles will tell you he is consumed with making his clients’ lives better. He lives brilliantly by seeing his clients through the good as well as the challenging times and receives tremendous fulfillment in doing so. Charles lives by the philosophy of not getting overwhelmed with the negativity that often surrounds us, but by helping each other improve and succeed. His positivity, warmth and wealth of experience shines through in all his endeavors.
Charles has been named a 2024 Five Star Wealth Manager. He was also named in 2014, 2015, 2022, and 2023.
Lynne Parks
Together, Lynne and Charles started CF Parks, where Lynne now serves as Vice President. Though they have clients across the country, Piedmont, North Carolina, has been an excellent “home base” for their business and the perfect town to raise their three children.
When she’s not overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, Lynne finds great joy in cooking for her family, enjoying a nice glass of wine, traveling all edges of the world, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Lynne stresses that everyone at CF Parks works for others as they would want someone to work on their behalf. While this is a simple statement it comes with enormous responsibilities and inspires the entire team to work from a place of honesty, thoughtfulness, and devotion.
Living brilliantly to Lynne means to brighten others’ days with a simple act of kindness or a smile. She takes pride in being a part of a company that works diligently to solve others’ problems and is thankful her team has been able to make an impact in clients’ lives. Lynne’s nurturing and caring nature is evident in how she interacts with clients, friends, strangers, and family.
Erin Haggard
Director of Operations
Born and raised in Columbia, SC, Erin attended the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. With a determination for problem-solving and leadership, Erin brings these qualities into her work at CF Parks. She is deeply committed to serving others, believing that true success lies in the positive impact we make on the lives of those around us.
In 2022 Erin embarked on a new chapter, moving to the charming town of Concord, NC. This transition was enriched by marrying her best friend on St. Patrick's Day in 2023, a celebration of love and new beginnings. Family and close friends are her foundation and Erin believes their support has been invaluable throughout her journey.
Erin’s passions extend beyond her work. Outside of the office, you will find her spending time with family and friends at a local brewery, attending a concert or enjoying a long weekend trip to the beach.

It’s about striving for excellence in all facets of life, nurturing meaningful relationships, and continually seeking growth and knowledge. Catherine Kirchin
Office and Marketing Coordinator
It was only natural that Catherine joined the family business in 2014. She grew up in and around the office and witnessed firsthand how the firm helped their family of clients in numerous ways. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Centre College in Kentucky, she received her bachelor’s degree in financial economics. Catherine was also on the Women’s Golf Team and traveled the country to compete in tournaments.
While Catherine and her husband, Zachary have spent the past few years living in Texas and Georgia, they happily moved back to the area in 2022. They live in Huntersville with their daughters Sterling and Pippa as well as their son Ellis. Catherine loves spending time with her family, sharing a glass of wine with her mom and sister, and spinning on her Peloton bike.
To Catherine, living a brilliant life means living a life that is vibrant with passion, joy, and love.
Laura Kepley
Wealth Management Services Assistant
Laura is originally from nearby Granite Quarry but lived all over the Southeast as a proud Air Force/Army Brat. She pursued a B.A. in Music Education at Christopher Newport University in Hampton Roads, VA and participated in the Miss America Organization to fund her education. She returned to Salisbury with her immediate family when her parents retired in 2007. Laura brings to the team her extensive expertise in client service, with over 20 years in management in restaurant hospitality as well as financial services.
Her passion in music stems from her family’s deep musical roots. She has been playing piano for over 30 years and spends most of her free time performing with her band both in the studio and on stage. On weekends she travels extensively as the front entertainer for The Tonez, a prestigious group in the Carolina Beach Music Industry. They received the Best New Artist award in 2020 and Laura was nominated for Entertainer of the Year and recently awarded Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2025 Alabama Theatre Ceremony in Myrtle Beach.
She shares a beautiful stepdaughter who is an honors student at Catawba College with her partner, Jon. Rounding out the family are their two precious pups, Jazzy and Minnie Mouse.
To Laura, “Live brilliantly” means to have a life that shines and help others do the same! The definition of success can vary from person to person, but she believes that if you love what you do and can focus on building a life you are proud of, others will automatically see your “glow” of happiness. It’s contagious!
Rebecca Harward
Director of Financial Services
Rebecca Harward is our Director of Financial Services and a Salisbury native. She not only brings experience in the accounting industry, but also as a North Carolina Notary, serving for 15 years. An extremely hard worker, Rebecca believes that to Live Brilliantly is to live a life where you can work to achieve your goals and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Rebecca married her husband Chris in 2000 has two children, Ollie and Alex. As a family they enjoy spending time traveling and camping together. Rebecca also loves reading, bowling and baking.
Carrington Barrier
Marketing Coordinator
Carrington serves as the Marketing Coordinator at CF Parks, where she focuses on strengthening communication and helping clients feel seen, valued, and at the heart of everything the firm does.
As a Salisbury native, Carrington brings more than five years of experience in marketing and referral management within the mental health field. Her background shaped her passion for bridging gaps in communication and creating meaningful connections between people and the services that support them. She believes thoughtful communication builds trust — and trust builds lasting relationships.
Outside of the office, Carrington enjoys reading and working alongside her husband to turn their home into a true refuge — from growing rosemary in the garden to building a space that feels warm and intentional. Sundays are spent at church and gathered with family over food and game time, traditions that keep them rooted in what matters most.
